Honey collectors, or better known as honey straws, are often the smaller and simpler nectar collectors, without extra water filtration offered by a percolator located in the midsection, but they serve the same purpose and work in a similar way. All you need to do with a honey collector is heat the tip and dip it into the dish that contains your concentrates. There are also Glass and Silicone Nectar collectors.
How to use a nectar collector?
To use a nectar collector, start by preparing a heat-proof silicone or glass dab dish with your concentrates and fill the bubbler mid-section with water, if it has one. Heat the tip of your nectar collector with a torch, in the same way you would heat the nail or banger on your regular dab rig. After you heat the tip, it has to cool down for a couple of seconds to reach the desired temperature, hold the nectar collector in a vertical position, inhale with your lips on the mouthpiece and carefully tap the heated tip into your concentrate to take a dab. The vapor, generated by holding the heated tip against the concentrates, travels up and through the body / water filtration mid-section, before exiting through the mouthpiece.
